Le Gelosie d'un Amore
The Jealousies of Love, an oratorio by Antonio Caldara

Be the first to hear this newly rediscovered oratorio by the Italian Baroque composer Antonio Caldara!  Greatly admired during his lifetime, Caldara’s works are now virtually unheard, yet his new-found recognition is growing.  Often playful and upbeat his music is also assuredly captivating and at times dissonant and lamenting.  Performed with a cast of internationally recognized baroque singers including sopranos Céline Ricci and Elizabeth Hungerford and countertenors Randall Scotting and Tai Oney, performing with an ensemble of 11 string players, including Viola da Gamba. The oratorio will be sung in Italian with printed English texts.
