Hear some of the most beautiful and recognisable melodies from the late Renaissance and early Italian Baroque periods in an evening of solos and duets by countertenor Randall Scotting and soprano Elizabeth Hungerford. The duo will be accompanied by a period ensemble of two violins, viola da gamba, and lute.
This programme of uniquely beautiful music will highlight the playful melodies of Monteverdi, as well as some of his lesser known colleagues including Merula, Steffani, Legrenzi, Striggio, and others.
