Elizabeth Hungerford, Soprano has been praised for her “clarion” sound (Washington Post) and a voice that is “refreshingly natural” (Göttinger Tagesblatt). Recent engagements include performances at the Göttingen Historical Music Series in Germany, with Grammy-nominated Seraphic Fire in the United States, at the Teatro Olimpico in Italy with the European Lute Orchestra, with the Catacoustic Consort at the Indianapolis Early Music Festival, with the award-winning Eya Ensemble for Medieval Music, and a one-per-part performance of Bach’s St Matthew Passion at the National Cathedral in Washington DC. Elizabeth’s repertoire ranges from medieval chant to Contemporary masterworks, although she has a particular affinity for the early Baroque and Renaissance periods. Elizabeth has been featured on fifteen recordings to date and a CD with viola da gambist Andrew Arceci is due for release in December, 2013.
